One of the most important provisions of the corporate social responsibility policy of Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia is the constant support of regions in solving local problems. Therefore, the company contributes to the training of IT specialists in Kazakhstan. One such example of Samsung’s social responsibility was an educational project — programming courses Samsung Innovation Campus.
SIC is a long-term project of Samsung aimed to provide additional education for high school, college and university students in the field of programming in modern languages. The project is currently carried out jointly with AYALA Charity Foundation.
The project provides training in the following areas:
The training is free: any Almaty schoolchild or college student can try to enroll in the courses.
Students must attend classes without missing a class, adopt a responsible attitude to the classes, and do their homework on time. The teachers intend to graduate students with good skills at the end of the school year and capable of developing their own projects. The final exam for children is to create a special application for Samsung mobile phones and tablets based on Android.
Students of schools and colleges from 14 to 19 years old are allowed to study.
The training period is from September to April.
Full-time classes are 5 times a week for 3 academic hours.
The training takes place at the Samsung Innovation Academy
Having completing training in the basics of programming, students will receive useful knowledge that they can apply in practice, and they will also have the opportunity to make a mobile application on their own and participate in international IT competitions.
