About 2,000 athletes from Kazakhstan, South Korea, Australia, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, USA, Netherlands and Uzbekistan took part in Astana Marathon 2023. The age of the race participants ranges from 16 to 76 years. They competed at distances of 42.2 and 10 kilometers.

We sincerely thank the director and organizer of the Astana Marathon, Gauhar Bramley-Fenton, for support of our Foundation: the logo of our Foundation was placed on the T-shirts of all participants and on the diplomas of the winners and prize-winners of the marathon!

The management of PTC Holding decided to support the Retinopathy of Prematurity project through charitable participation in Astana Marathon 2023. We thank the Chairman of the Board Timur Zhumartovich Karabayev for supporting our Power of Caring! 59 marathon runners of this holding company, aged from 22 to 48, ran a corporate distance of 10 km to help save the vision of premature newborns in Akmola oblast! Foundations from PTC Holding’s corporate participation will be used to purchase a retinal camera for the Oblast Perinatal Centre of the city of Kokshetau.

We are very pleased and grateful that Professor Lee Jong Seop, our Foundation’s ambassador since 2017, flew in from Busan especially to participate in the Astana Marathon 2023!

Since 2018, Astana Marathon 2023 has been a member of the Association of International Marathons and Races AIMS. This year the marathon course was also certified by AIMS. This gives the best marathon runners the chance to compete in the world’s most famous and largest marathons, such as London or Boston. The certified route of the Astana Marathon further allows athletes to record their results in the global ranking by age groups at the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group.
