This week, a team of doctors from Busan National University Hospital in South Korea is visiting Kazakhstan. The delegation, which includes gynaecologists and paediatric orthopaedic surgeons, is led by Professor Lee Jong-Seop, who also serves as an ambassador for the AYALA Foundation. This year, Professor Lee and his team are providing free consultations and examinations for children at the Orthopaedics Department of the Almaty Children’s Regional Hospital in Otegen Batyr village. Meanwhile, the visiting gynaecologists are conducting patient check-ups and workshop sessions at the Perinatology and Children’s Cardiac Surgery Centre in Almaty.
Since 2017, the AYALA Foundation has been collaborating with Busan National University Hospital. Over the past six years, 16 practical workshops have been held in Kazakhstan, facilitating the exchange of medical expertise between local and South Korean specialists. More than 700 children have received free medical consultations during these visits, and 19 Kazakhstani doctors have had the opportunity to undergo advanced training at the university.
